Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Prayed before the ancient icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where the Child Jesus clings to his mother’s hand. For generations Catholics have brought her every kind of need — sickness, family trouble, doubt, grief — trusting her to carry each one to her Son. Bring her yours.
Begins June 18, ending the eve of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Pray one day's prayer each day, nine days in a row. The next day opens tomorrow, and days you've prayed stay open to reread.
Day 1 of 9 · Mother of Perpetual Help
O Mother of Perpetual Help, in your icon the Child Jesus clings to your hand while angels show him the cross to come. He ran to you in his fear; teach me to run to you in mine.
Your help is called perpetual because it never tires, never sleeps, never turns away. There is no hour too late, no need too small, no sinner too far gone for your prayers. Take my hand as you took his, and hold it fast through all the days of this novena.
Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for me to your Son.
Amen.
Conclude with an Our Father, a Hail Mary, and a Glory Be.
Daily reminders to keep a novena are set in the Cato app.
