Eternal Father
Jesus gave these words to St. Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun, in 1935, and she wrote them in her diary. The prayer offers the Father his own Son, as the Mass does, and asks mercy for everyone. The Chaplet is prayed on ordinary rosary beads, often at 3pm, the hour Jesus died.
St. Faustina’s Diary, 1935
Eternal Father, I offer you
the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity
of your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
in atonement for our sins
and those of the whole world.
Amen.
